The pet you welcome home, and the next one we can rescue. To ensure the best fit for you and our animals, we require a screening before moving forward with adoption.

    • Complete the adoption application

    • Recieve Landlord approval (if applicable)

    • Have a meet & greet with the animal

    • Get a reference & veterinary checks

    • Recieve a home visit (if needed)

      **Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption.

    • Dogs & Puppies: $200

    • Cats (7 months – 7 years): $80

    • Senior Cats (8+ years): $25 or free for senior adopters

    • Kittens: $100 + $75 refundable spay/neuter deposit

    • Spay/neuter (for adults)

    • Microchipping

    • Cats adopted from a cattery are tested for FIV/FELV

    • Spearfish residents: Call 605-642-1300

    • Outside city limits: Call WHHS at 605-642-1576

    • Impound Fees are $30 for the first offence & $50 for additional offences

    • $20 nightly impound fee/boarding fee
