Lost & To Be Found

If your pet has been impounded, we're here to help! We work closely with the Spearfish Police Department, the Whitewood Police Department, and the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office to ensure lost pets find their way home.

If you're a Spearfish resident and need to claim your pet, please give the Spearfish Police Department a call at 605-642-1300.
If you live outside the city limits, please contact us directly at the shelter during business hours at 605-642-1576 to arrange the pickup.

Impoundment Fees:
1st Offence: $30 | 2nd Offence or more: $50
Boarding Fees: $20 for the first and each subsequent day, the animal is housed by the city

These fees are due at the time of pick-up. We're happy to help reunite you with your furry friend as soon as possible!
